If luxury is not essential to you then there are a lot of standard rooms here, clean, comfortable and cheap. However, in peak seasons the hotels are really packed, so making reservations is a good idea. Hotels on the island are generally more expensive than those on the mainland, RMB200 (after hard bargaining) and above. If you go to Putoushan during weekdays, you can get a discout of 30-50 percent off the stated price.

The Baotuo Hotel (118 Meicen Road Tel: 0580-6092090), a three star hotel in the center of the town, is a good choice. It costs RMB200 for a standard room, which is equipped with air-conditioning, TV and bathroom. If the Baotuo Hotel is full you can try Putuo Shanzhuang (Miaozhuangyan Road. Tel:0580-6091666), which is approximately RMB250 for a standard room.
