The island is around 250km to the south of Shanghai across the Hangzhou Bay.

Putuoshan is a tiny island of the Zhoushan Archipelago which is part of Zhejiang Province in the East China Sea.
Admission:
There is an RMB60 general admission to the island, after that, each of the scenic spots on the island charges around RMB5. For example: Puji Temple, RMB5; Fayu Temple, RMB5; Grand Guanyin Statue, RMB6; Buddhist Peak, RMB5; Purple Bamboo Forest Temple, RMB5; Fanyin Cave, RMB5.
RMB100 should cover all admission costs.

The Bank of China is located on Meicen Road, in front of the Baotuo Hotel. Office hours are 7:30-11:00, 13:30-17:00. There is one hospital right in front of the Baotuo Hotel and one between the Baotuo Hotel and the last stop on bus No. 1 (Xitian dukou). The Police station is located near the Hundred Step Beach, at Tianfu Road, on the way to the Purple Bamboo Forest.
