The tourism industry in east China's Anhui province is experiencing an unprecedented boom.

The Anhui Provincial Tourism Administration says the province's tourism revenues last year hit a record high of 26 billion yuan, or more than 3 billion U.S. dollars.

The province received over 500 thousand overseas tourists and more than 40 million domestic tourists in the past year.
