Skiing has been a dream of mine for a long time, especially since I learned how to skate.
Shortly after I found a place and stood there quietly; I began to watch other skiers around me, how they positioned their bodies over their skis. I quickly found that advanced skiers stand so relaxed with their knees slightly bent; their bodies almost perpendicular to the hill. Their center of their gravity is placed on the upper part of their skis, not on the tails. So, now, come on, fix yourself, and maintain your weight on the balls of your feet, bend your knees a little, I bet you'll start to get the feeling. Keep skiing! Ha, you got it, now you can start skiing and go for hundreds meters without falling.
Since I still don't know how to turn properly, my first ski story will stop here. But I would just like to sum up a little bit:
Don't be afraid of skiing. Nobody knows how to do it when they are first born.
Besides money, you have to bring enough clothing, like gloves and a hat, to keep yourself warm, and also sun glasses to help with the glare (and look cool!). If you don't have waterproof clothing, you can rent some at the ski hill.
If you don't want to fall down too many times, then don't get started in a rush, just watch how advanced skiers position their body over the skies.
When you think you can get started, just remember to place your weight on the upper part of your skis, not on the tails. And bend your knees a little.
If you fall down, don't lose confidence. You can ask for help from others, or you can also take off the skis, and stand up again.
Ok, don't just sit there, believe in yourself! When you believe it, you can make it¡ªso let's enjoy skiing!
