Hu Jintao Meets Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Hu Jintao have highly honoured the sacrifices made by the people of the two countries in the World War II.


Related Event: 60th Anniversary of World War II Victory

Putin and Hu Jintao met Monday in Kremlin, following the Red Square parade commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Allied victory in Europe.

Hu Jintao said the Russian people made great sacrifices to win the war against Nazism.

He proposed to deepen strategic cooperation and boost economic ties between the two countries.

Putin said that Moscow is happy with the cooperation between the two sides, and is looking forward to a visit by Hu Jintao in July.
