    Hebei is one of the densely populated provinces in China. According to the statistics at the end of 2004, Hebei has a population of 68,087,500, ranking the 6th in the whole country.
Geographical Location 
    It was named Hebei because it is situated in the north side of the Yellow River. In Chinese language, "He" means "river" while "Bei" means "north", so "Hebei" means "north of the river".
