2005-7-3 20:20:47      CRIENGLISH.com
Hebei Province is cracking down on fake and shoddy food products.

The provincial administration of industry and commerce has so far dealt with 2,000 such cases.

The inferior-quality food products in the markets involve varieties of food including rice, bean curd and milk powder.

Since the start of this year the province has launched a range of moves to curb the inferior-quality food products, investigating into and dealing with over 3,000 unlicensed food units, revoking 120 licenses for selling inferior-quality foods and destroying 210 work units making the food.
