China's central bank says the country's Anti-Money Laundering campaign has yielded rich fruits.

An official with the People's Bank of China, Ling Tao, told CRI in an interview that banking authorities and police had cracked 50 money-laundering cases by the end of last year, involving 570 million Chinese yuan and nearly 450 million U.S. dollars.

He added that China is speeding up legislation of its first anti-money laundering law, the draft of which will be submitted to the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, for review this year.

Phenomenal improvement has also been made in the coordination regime and international cooperation.
