Easier access to the mainland job market! New regulations are allowing more Taiwan job hunters to work in the mainland.
"We are willing to communicate with any non-governmental organizations representing the extensive interests of our Taiwanese compatriots."
People in Taiwan will enjoy more favorable policies when working on the mainland, and they will face fewer limitations when selecting new jobs.
The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council made the announcement Wednesday when introducing new measures to facilitate mutual communications.
Under the new rule, entry and exit procedures for Taiwan people on the mainland will be simplified. The criterion for the employment of Taiwan compatriots will also be loosened.
The spokesman of the office Li Weiyi, also urged prompt action for having two-way cargo charter flights, to enable better communications.
"The two sides have already had a successful experience from charter flights during this year's spring festival. We hope that Taiwan authorities do not delay this issue with excuses, but approve the relevant organizations of the air industry to come to the mainland and talk to the relevant authorities on the direct passenger flights issue. At the same time, we would also like to have a comprehensive exchange of views on direct cargo flights."
So far, all flights from Taiwan to the mailand have to stop over a third airport, normally in Hong Kong, making travel time double than direct flight.
During recent meetings between the mainland and opposition parties in Taiwan, both have agreed to enhance mutual trust and accelerate economic and cultural exchanges.
By the end of last year, nearly 34 million Taiwan people had visited the mainland, while more than 1 million mainland people visited Taiwan.
