Related Event: Peaceful Reunification

Visiting Chairman of the People First Party, James Soong, has paid homage at the Mausoleum of well-known revolutionary Dr Sun Yat-sen in Nanjing, in east China's Jiangsu Province.

In a speech after the ceremony, Soong said that people across the Taiwan Straits should strive for China's reunification and endeavor for common prosperity.

Later, Soong met with Li Yuanchao, secretary of the Communist Party of China Jiangsu Provincial Committee.

Soong and his delegation will leave Nanjing this afternoon for Shanghai, the booming business hub on the mainland.
