China says it welcomes the consensus reached between Pakistan and India on improving bilateral ties.

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has just concluded his first visit to India in four years.

During the visit, the two countries issued a joint statement, saying the Pakistan-India peace process is irreversible.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang says China hopes the two countries will solve disputes through dialogue.
