A Macao official says since Macao returned to the motherland in 1999, the employment rate for Macao's women is continuing increasing and their status in society has been improved.

The vice chairwoman of the Macao Women's Federation, Iong Weng Ian, says that currently, women in all fields in Macao can get same job opportunities as men thanks to the unremitting efforts of the Macao Special Administrative government and women from all levels of society.

Macao's women have won the respect and support of society through their outstanding contributions.
