"Volunteerism is the very foundation of the Olympic movement. Volunteers are the real ambassadors of Olympic games and reflect its spirit."

--That was Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee, speaking at the recent launching ceremony for the 2008 Olympics volunteer program. It's estimated some 100,000 volunteers from home and abroad will assist in the running of the games.  They will be involved in many areas including safety management, media operations and welcoming and assisting thousands of international visitors.
