UN Reforms from Africa and U.S. Perspectives

A Chinese scholar says the issue of UN reform means a lot for Africa, which has the largest number of developing countries.   So development should be given adequate attention in the UN reform plan and Africa should be fairly represented in the UN Security Council.  

CRI's Lin Shaowen talks Professor He Wenping, an African Studies expert from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

He Wenping: "The Development issue has a much more meaning for Africa, even more than to another continent and countries."And its ambition to get into the Security Council C taking permanent seats.

Ahmed Rashidi: "In the competition of the Security Council, we have to present various geographical regions."
