French film "Les Choristes," or "The Chorus," has been sent by the French government to compete for the Best Foreign Language Film Award at this year's Oscars.
Directed by Christophe Barratier, the film earned more than 40 million Euros at the box office in France alone, only two months after its premiere. Without super stars, actions and digital special effects, the film moved the audience by telling a simple story about a teacher changing some uncontrolled students through music.
The film has also been shown in China as part of the France Culture Year held in the country, receiving good response from the moviegoers.
