2005 Vienna Chinese New Year Concert is to be held on January 31st in the world-renowned Golden Hall of Vienna in Austria.

2005 Vienna Chinese New Year Concert is to be held on January 31st in the world-renowned Golden Hall of Vienna in Austria. The concert will be conducted by a young conductor Peng Jiapeng and performed by Salzburg Mozart Symphony Orchestra.

Zhao Daxin, from the organizing company, said that the concert this year highlights the theme of ˇ°regional and folk specialsˇ±. A lot of pieces created by contemporary Chinese composers are on the repertoire, such as Tibetan Reba Dance, musical poem 'Silk Road Imaginations,' composed by Han Lankui and a popular song in China 'Qinghai-Tibet Plateau'.

Two pieces of Austrian compositions will also be performed on the concert.
