2005 Vienna Chinese New Year Concert is to be held on January 31st in the world-renowned Golden Hall of Vienna in Austria. The concert will be conducted by a young conductor Peng Jiapeng and performed by Salzburg Mozart Symphony Orchestra.

Zhao Daxin, from the organizing company, said that the concert this year highlights the theme of “regional and folk specials”. A lot of pieces created by contemporary Chinese composers are on the repertoire, such as Tibetan Reba Dance, musical poem 'Silk Road Imaginations,' composed by Han Lankui and a popular song in China 'Qinghai-Tibet Plateau'.

Two pieces of Austrian compositions will also be performed on the concert.
