Shaoju Opera Wins Top Award

Shaoju opera's The Real and Fake Monkey King won a special Wenhua award at the 7th China Arts Festival.
A Shaoju Opera has won the highest theatre award in China at the end of the 7th China Arts Festival in east China's Shaoxing city.

At the closing ceremony yesterday, Shaoju opera's The Real and Fake Monkey King won a special Wenhua award.

At this year's festival theatre lovers were treated to over 50 local operas, musicals and dance dramas.

The China Arts Festival, which is the biggest theatre event in the country, is held every three years.
