More low cost tickets will be available for the 7th Beijing International Music Festival which opens on October the 14th. This year's highest ticket price, which is about 300 yuan, or 36 US dollars, is just half that of last year. While the lowest ticket prices, ranging from 10 to 30 yuan, will give many low-income workers the chance to this international event. According to staff at the organizing committee, concerts given by great pianists Murray Perahia, Emanuel Ax and cellist Ma Yo-Yo have are attracting a huge audience, including many piano students. Low-price tickets of these concerts look like being sold out well before the event, which has never happened before.
