Beijing, Sept.13. (CRIENGLISH.com)--22-year-old gold medal hurdler Liu Xiang may well be China's most important male track athlete, a fact that is being acknowledged by his sweeping popularity on college and university campus across the country. His success in the 110m hurdles was hard fought, and needless to say the feat simply can not be recreated by his fans, even the most athletic ones. But a group of his supporters from Beijing People's Police College have imitated Liu Xiang's hurdle actions and formed an especially exciting game--hurdle shooting. The students, armed with pistols, jump over hurdles and shoot targets. Although it's doubtful this "track marksmanship" will be included in the 2008 Beijing Games, the students performed the stunt on Sunday at their college's 55th anniversary to great applause.
