A picture of Chaoyuan, the priceless fresco from the Yuan Dynasty, has finally been restored after four years of hard work and will soon be on display in Shenzhen.
The fresco was completed in 1325.
The 403-square-meter fresco was originally a part of the fresco work in the Yongle Palace, one of ancient China's Taoist palaces in what is today Shanxi Province, and renowned for its magnificent murals.
The picture was cut from the wall and taken to Shenzhen for the restoration.
The fresco is a masterpiece of Yuan Dynasty Taoist art and depicts a panoply of Taoism spirit figures.
