Centennial Birthday of Fu Baoshi Celebrated

A statue of Fu Baoshi has been unveiled to commemorate the 100th birthday anniversary of the great Chinese painting master.
A statue of Fu Baoshi (1904-1965) has been unveiled in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, to commemorate the 100th birthday anniversary of the great Chinese painting master.

The 2.7 meter high white marble statue shows Fu Baoshi crossing his arms, with one hand holding a fan and the other a cigarette.

After restoration, his tomb was also opened to the public Tuesday morning.

Fu Baoshi was once vice president of the China Artists Association and president of the Jiangsu Academy of Arts.
