World Cartoon Conference Opens in Beijing

The sixth World Cartoon Conference has opened at the Beijing Exhibition Centre.
Themed "Comic and Nationality Nature in the 21st Century", the event attracts more than 300 cartoonists and experts from all over the world.

Amongst them, Argentine Guillermo Mordillo, the father of the sailor man "Popeye" and Chinese popular cartoonist Zhu Deyong.

During this week, eye-catching events such as the Animation and Comic Industry Expo, the International Master Cartoonists' Original Artwork Exhibition, the International Animation and Comic Creation Competition, as well as the World Cosplay Party will be also held.

About 200,000 audiences are expected to participate in the activities during the one-week National Holiday.
