A group of fourteen contemporary realism painters are holding an exhibition in Beijing.

The portrait painters are all from the Beijing Realism Painting School, and represent the highest achievements of realism oil painting in China. 

The painters include those who rose to fame with the "revolutionary realism art" in the 1960s, and the young making fame overseas in the 1990s.

The exhibition will run till this Saturday at the China National Museum of Arts.
