Many of China's migrant workers are heading home shortly after New Year's Day.

Migrant workers usually go home for the Spring Festival to celebrate the traditional New Year. But with fewer delayed payments this year and more migrant workers getting their paychecks on time, many are heading home much earlier than usual.

Railway stations in many cities are already jam-packed with migrant workers, and extra trains have been brought in specially.

This year's Spring Festival falls on February 9th, 2005. Officials expect a total of over 100 million passengers traveling by train around the festival.
