Chinese people from all walks of life are continuing to give money to the tsunami-hit Asian countries.

Chinese people from all walks of life are continuing to give money to the tsunami-hit Asian countries. It is one of China's largest fund-raising efforts in recent history.

Many travelers and migrant workers on their way home have put donations in a contribution box at the Beijing West Railway Station.

Many other contribution boxes have been set up in the city's university campuses, government offices and other public buildings. People have also donated via the telephone hotline.

So far the Chinese Red Cross has collected more than three million US dollars in cash and pledges.
