Reconstruction at Beijing's Nangong medical waste facility was completed Tuesday, and it is now boosted by new investment. The wastage of over 300 medical institutions will be converged and disposed here.

The facility can dispose of 15 tons of medical waster per day at present. The second phase of the project will be constructed next year.

Beijing's deputy mayor says the processes of collection, transportation and treatment of medical wastes should be strictly managed in order to prevent environmental pollution and damage to people's health.
