China's major newspapers like People's Daily and Youth Daily have published editorials over the results of the 2004 Durex Global Sex Survey, which says that Chinese people have the most sexual partners per capita in the world.

The Beijing Morning Post earlier reported that a Durex online survey shows Chinese people average 19.3 sexual partners, well above the global average of 10.5.

The editorials said that Durex claimed its survey had covered 100 thousand interviewees, but it's a small group in a country that has a population of over 1.3 billion.

Meanwhile, the survey was conducted through the internet and was anonymous. The editorials doubt that many interviewees had taken the survey seriously.

They concluded that the result of the survey was quite contradictory with Chinese people's general attitudes toward marriage and sex and is not credible.
