Sources at the Ministry of Personnel say a new standard on health qualifications will allow HIV-positives to apply for jobs as civil servants.

This is a further move in the new national standards on health qualifications for civial servants, to curb the discrimination in the workplace against people who suffer from harmless diseases.

According to the new standards hepatitis B virus carriers who do not show symptoms are also qualified for the jobs.
