The Ministry of Labor and Social Security announced on Tuesday that it is planning to improve the situation facing rural laborers working in cities.

The Ministry will cancel extra charges, offer free counseling services on employment information and policy for migrant workers, provide vocational training.

In the meantime it wll strengthen cooperation between organizations so as to provide more working opportunities and allocate more funds to underdeveloped areas.

The number of migrant workers in China's cities now exceeds 98 million and they have long been confronted by a tough employment environment.

Another 150 million surplus rural laborers are expected move to cities in the coming years.
