The 41st Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival Executive Committee has announced the nominations of this year's Golden Horse Awards.

Celebrated Hong Kong director, Ann Hui, headed this year's selection committee.

Among the nominees, Wong Kar-wai's blockbuster, 2046, won eight nominations, Chinese director Lu Chuans, Ke Ke Xi Li, and Hong Kong director To Kei Fung's 'Breaking News' also took home five nominations.

The winners will be announced at the Golden Horse Award Ceremony, in Taichung City on 4 December.

French top director Patrice Leconte's 2004 film "Dogora - Ouvrons les yeux" will open the festival on 25th November.
