China Union Pay RMB credit cards are now available in Korea, Thailand and Singapore.

China Union Pay RMB credit cards are now available in Korea, Thailand and Singapore.

This is the first time Chinese consumers can pick up cash and pay with their RMB cards in foreign countries.

Experts say this is part of China's efforts to promote the free exchange of Chinese currency and open up its financial system.

These RMB credit cards are only available for frequent consumption items including shopping, catering, taking vehicles, going for medical treatment and the amount of cash customers can get on their credit card is still very limited.
