Seismological official Chen Hong says China is ready to offer help to the shaken regions in Indonesia.


"As usual, we will first collect information about the damage from the quake. Then the Foreign Ministry will contact the Indonesian embassy in Beijing to ask them whether they need help."

She added that in cases of serious damage where the disaster-hit country makes a request for help, China will always provide aid.
