Ukraine's parliament has declared last Sunday's presidential vote invalid.

The parliament held a special session today [Saturday], but the decision is not binding without the endorsement of President Leonid Kuchma.

Meanwhile, Dutch Foreign Minister Ben Bot, says the Ukrainian parliament will need to pass a law enabling the country's president to call new elections.

Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych was declared the winner of the election, but cannot been inaugurated until the Supreme Court is hearing an appeal, filed by supporters of opposition candidate Viktor Yushchenko, to set aside the results.
