Chinese President Hu Jintao hopes China's armed police force can improve in line with the nation's development strategy.

Chinese President Hu Jintao hopes China's armed police force can improve in line with the nation's development strategy.

While meeting with senior commanders of the armed forces, the president, also the chairman of the Central Military Commission, said China is in a key stage of reform and development and the task of maintaining security and stability is heavy.

He also expressed his hope that the police could enhance their enforcement capabilities by practical training and further theoretical studies.
