China's Fourth Batch of Aid Arrives in Sri Lanka

The fourth batch of China's aid to the tsunami-hit region has arrived in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo.

A Boeing 747 cargo plane belonging to South China Airlines has landed in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo. This is the fourth batch of aid China has sent to the tsunami-hit region.

The supplies include nearly one thousand boxes of medicine and medical equipment and 80 tons of items for day-to-day use, including blankets, sheets, tents, mosquito nets, generators and ready-made food.

The Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Sun Guoxiang was at the airport to inspect the aid supplies.
