Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has met with outgoing US Secretary of Commerce Donald Louis Evans in Beijing.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has met with outgoing US Secretary of Commerce Donald Louis Evans in Beijing.

Wen Jiabao says that he welcomed Evans and thanked him for his efforts in promoting China-US trade relations during the past four years.

Evans arrived in Beijing on Tuesday and has held talks with Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai and attended an intellectual property rights roundtable discussion.

Carlos Gutierrez, head of cereal giant Kellogg, has been nominated by US President to replace Evans.
