Director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council Chen Yunlin says he will push for the cross-strait charter flights proposed by Taiwan businessmen.

Speaking at a meeting with a Taiwan Kuomintang delegation in Beijing on Monday, Chen Yunlin welcomed the idea of non-stop, round trip charter flights during the Spring Festival.

He says the mainland is willing to do anything to make the flights happen and he hopes Taiwan will make concrete efforts to ensure they go ahead.

Also on Monday, deputy director of the General Administration of Civil Aviation, Gao Hongfeng, says he hopes the Spring Festival charter flights will happen.
