Related Event: Asian Tsunami Disaster 

People from all walks of life in China have donated to victims of the Asian tsunami disaster.

The all China Federation of Trade Unions has provided emergency aid worth three million yuan, or about 360 thousand US dollars and appealed to all members of the International Labour Organization to offer help to tsunami-affected countries around the Indian Ocean.

The All-China Youth Federation, China Youth Development Foundation and other warm hearted young people across the country have contributed cash aid of one million yuan.

The Red Cross Society of China has opened the donation hotline and has decided to give additional aid of 340 thousand US dollars to six countries, including Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
