China Starts Construction of AIDS Treatment Center

China has started to build an HIV/AIDS treatment center in the southwestern province of Yunnan.
The center will house 200 patients, develop medicine to treat the disease and offer consultation services and training programs for medical staff.

HIV-infected people, AIDS patients as well as high-risk AIDS groups will receive antiviral treatment, as well as consultations on AIDS and counselling from the center.
