Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi says all of society holds the responsibility of controlling HIV/AIDS to prevent the spread of the disease in China. China had 840 thousand AIDS patients by the end of last year.
Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi says all of society holds the responsibility of controlling HIV/AIDS to prevent the spread of the disease in China.

Wu Yi points out that AIDS poses a definite threat to Chinese society and the country's economic development. She also says that the responsibility of preventing the disease falls on both the government and society.

The Vice Premier demands that all related departments in China take strict measures to control the disease.

China had 840 thousand AIDS patients by the end of last year. The first case was discovered in 1985.
