China will start the country's first HIV-AIDS emergency medical aid system by the end of this month in Henan Province.

The system includes the establishment of an aid network and medical teams, systems for monitoring infection and relaying information, and an aid work guarantee mechanism.

The aid network will be formed by medical institutes from the provincial, municipal, county, township and village levels.

25,000 people in Central China's Henan Province have been infected with HIV-AIDS, most of them through blood transfusions.

The majority of the infected are farmers in more than thirty poor villages.
