Fengrun, a district of Tangshan, a city in North China's Hebei Province, is planning to increase the investment in milk production and encourage more farmers to engage in the promising business.
Milk cows are raised in a collective farmyard in Shaliuhe Village of the district. Dozens of villagers moved in to take care of the cows.  An official from the district said that dozens of villagers in the district have moved to a milk cow raising farmyard, a place set up by the local government to help farmers raise the milk cows.
The local government provides the raisers with necessary techniques and help find markets for the milks.
A raiser is able to get 3,000 to 6,000 yuan a year for one cow raised. Only after a year, they have another some ten cows, worth 60,000 to 70,000 yuan.
Milk industry will grow with more investment coming to the district. Mengniu, one of the mainland's largest milk producers, is constructing a new production base in the district.
