Wang Ciheng is a famous Chinese flute performer, and an active performer in the Chinese national music field. Now he is the member of Chinese Musicians Association, China Nationalities Orchestra Society, Chinese Orchestra Research Institute.

Wang Ciheng who was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang in 1959, was taught by famous flute performer, Zhao Congting. Later, he had the choice to study in Central Conservatory of Music or Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Ultimately, he chose Central Conservatory of Music and was taught by famous flute performer, Zeng Yongqing, meanwhile, he also got the guide from Professor Wang Yucong. After graduating from Central Conservatory of Music in 1984, Wang Ciheng entered Central National Orchestra and became its flute soloist. During this period, Mr. Wang Tiechui and Mr. Lu Chunling helped him. Due to his eagerness to learn and spirit to pursue, he achieved high musical accomplishments. This allowed him to combine traditional northern and eastern styles.

Wang Ciheng's performances are smooth, elegant, bright and sonorous. He participated in many grand concerts, and was highly praised by great masters such as Lu Ji, Li Huanzhi and Shi Yuemeng. He also collaborated with other composers and made lots of novel compositions. It was him who created some new flute skills.

Due to his excellent and meaningful performing, Wang Ciheng was rewarded in domestic and overseas music competitions many times, including the third prize of national works in Central Conservatory of Music, the first solo prize in the 1st National Cantonese Music Inviting Competition, the second prize in the 1st National Instrument TV Competition, the highest golden prize of flute solo in the 13th World Youth Party held in North Korea, and the outstanding performer in the show held by Minister of culture of the People's Republic of China.

Wang Ciheng held his first solo flute concert in Beijing Music Hall in 1990, and he was highly regarded by those in the national music field. Mr. Lu Ji stated that Wang Ciheng's performances inherit our traditional performing skills. He is excellent in modern performances.

Wang Ciheng has visited many countries and regions on behalf of China, like Austria, France, Germany, United States and so on. Moreover, his shows got great success, and he was widely praised by many people.

Wang Ciheng pays much attention to cultural accomplishment, and he is a modest learner. Furthermore, he holds no bias towards any styles and always thinks about how to set up his own performing style.The composition to enjoy: "The Song of colorful Clothes".
