Since the All-China Women’s Federation acquired the Consultative Status with the ECOSOC in May 1995, which means acquired the ticket for UN meetings, as the first Chinese non-government organization, the All-China Women’s Federation has actively took part in the UN and international multilateral activities, sending their representatives to many meetings of the UN, for example, the UN Human Rights Commission Session, Commission on the Status of Women Session, UN Special General Assembly on Women's Affair, UN Special General Assembly on Children's Affair, World Leaders Summit on Sustainable Development. During this process, the All-China Women’s Federation voiced themselves, makes contribution to the world peace and the interest of developing countries as well as to the development of global women affairs.

Chinese women’s organizations make fully use of non-governmental diplomacy advantage to work on foreign exchanges and cooperation in various ways and channels. At present, the All-China Women’s Federation has built friendly relation with 700 women and children’s organizations in 151 countries, broadly takes part in UN and multilateral women affairs, successfully held the fourth World Women’s Congress, experiences exchange meeting after the WWC, the China-EU Seminar on Women Affairs, APEC Women Leaders Meeting and other large-scale multilateral meetings. The All-China Women’s Federation also actively works on international cooperative programs to serve Chinese women and children, becoming a women’s organization with international influences.
