2005-11-10 16:46:33    CRIENGLISH.com

One of the world's most beloved comic operas, Gioacchino Rossini's immortal masterpiece "The Barber of Seville" is an appealing comedy of errors as its central story, and known for its witty arias. The opera is considered a touchstone for the performers whose dramatic skills match their vocal range. กกกก

Liao Changyong, a leading Chinese baritone based in Shanghai, established his international fame with his consummate rendition of the demanding " Largo al factotum" from "The Barber of Seville", which amazingly garnered him first prize in Placido Domingo Operalia Competition, the Queen Sonja International Music Competition and the 41st Toulouse International Singing Competition.กก

This time, with renowned Shanghai colorature soprano and singing educator Zhou Xiaoyan as the artistic director, Liao will interpret the "made-in-Shanghai Barber" with Maurizio Di Mattia from Teatro dell' Opera di Roma as director, Marco Boemi as coach, celebrated tenor Juan Jose Lopera and soprano Inva Mula, as well as the leading vocalists and The Choir of Shanghai Opera House under the accompaniment of Shanghai Symphony Orchestra conducted by Paolo Olmi.
