US Pledges to Resume Six-party Talk

US assistant secretary of state and the chief representative of the six-party talks, Christopher Hill, says in Seoul the US is making every effort to resume the six-party talks.

At a meeting with South Korean Foreign Minister, Ban Ki-moon, Hill said the US would take "other methods" to solve the nuclear problem on Korea Peninsula if the talks remained deadlocked.

Hill has also met his South Korean counterpart, Song Min-soon, and the Minister of Unification, Chung Dong-young.

Hill arrived in South Korea on May 13 and will leave for Australia on May 16.
