A suicide car bomb hit two police patrols in Iraq's northeastern city of Baquba on Wednesday, killing seven policemen and wounding nine others, an interior ministry source said.
"A suicide bomber rushed his explosive packed vehicle to two police patrols at about 10:00 a.m. (0700 GMT) near Khan Bani Sa'ad military camp, killing seven policemen and wounding nine people, including three civilians," the source told Xinhua.
Since the US-led war on Iraq in March 2003, Baquba, a flashpoint city some 65 km northeast of Baghdad, has witnesses several deadly attacks by insurgents bent on undermining the US-backed government.
