World Bank Praises China's Poverty Alleviation Efforts

China's success in alleviating poverty last year has won praise from the World Bank.
 

China's poverty alleviation policy focuses on the economic development of poor areas, combining environmental protection and international cooperation. Chief Representative of World Bank China Huang Yuchuan »ÆÓý´¨ says this is in line with the country's specific circumstances. He says that as the World Bank's most successful partner, China has set a good example for other countries to learn from.

In the last 20 years, China has provided enough food and clothes for poor people living in rural areas.
