Beijing police have seized more than 1.3 million pirated books and audio-visual products over the past two months.

The month-long campaign, launched in late October, aims at cracking down on activities involving the production and selling of obscene publications and pirated books and audio-visual products.

Local police uprooted a dozen underground factories that produce and sell pirated and obscene publications.

Over 100 people involved in the cases have been detained by police.(Zhao Pingping)
