Beijing Police Seize over 1.33 Million Pirated Publications

Beijing police have seized more than 1.33 million pirated books and audio-visual products over the past two months.
 

The month-long campaign, launched on Oct. 20, aims at cracking down on activities involving production and selling of obscene publications and pirated books and audio-visual productions.

Local police uproot a dozen underground factories that produce and sell pirated and obscene publications.

Over 100 people involved in the cases have been detained by police. (Zhao Pingping)
